About me… 

I have always had a passion and love for the outdoors, but only after moving to Georgia, with the North Georgia mountains just a short drive away, did I discover my love for hiking. My love for hiking and backpacking soon developed into a calling that combines my love for God, discipleship and ministry with my love for all things outdoors.

While exploring this call, I enrolled in a wilderness ministry course specifically designed to provide and develop skills for doing deep discipleship in a wilderness setting. In the months that followed I felt God calling me to let go of everything I was doing and simply get more people outside, on the trail, to encounter Him. The Vine Church empowers and encourages each person to do risk-taking ministry that focuses on intentional discipleship, so in obedience to God’s press, I started a small group at The Vine Church, Encountering God in Wilderness Places.  

We are not just a hiking group going on a walk in the woods, we are a group of people stepping out into a wilderness place with the intention of encountering a Holy God, expecting and seeking transformation. Throughout the bible, wilderness is a place where leaders are drawn and equipped by God to transition into a calling, a hope I have for each person who journeys with us.

God is always revealing who he is, who we are, and who he is calling us to become as his children. Stepping into the wilderness simply opens the door to the conversation.
